Classic Holiday Yule Log Cake (Bûche de Noël)

Bring winter cheer to your table with this gorgeous Yule Log cake. This dish consists of a creamy chocolate sponge roll filled with luscious cream filling and topped with decadent chocolate ganache. Ideal for joyful celebrations!
Ingredients
For the Chocolate Sponge Cake
½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (30g) cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
4 large eggs
½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cream Filling
1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache
1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

Instructions
1. Prepare the sponge cake.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175° C). Line a jelly roll pan (10x15 inches) with parchment paper.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder together in a bowl.
In a large mixing basin, combine the eggs and sugar and beat until thick and light. Mix in the vanilla extract.
Gently stir the dry ingredients into the egg mixture to incorporate.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and distribute evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cake springs back when gently pressed.
2. Roll the cake.
While still warm, transfer the cake to a clean kitchen towel coated with powdered sugar.
Remove the parchment paper and tightly roll the cake in the towel. Allow it to cool completely.
3. To make the filling.
Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
4. Set up the Yule Log.
Unroll the cooled cake and spread the whipped cream evenly. Roll the cake back up securely.
5. Prepare the ganache
Pour heavy cream over chocolate chunks after heating until steaming (but not boiling). Allow to sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
6. Decorate the cake.
Spread the ganache on the rolled cake. Use a fork to produce a bark-like texture. Decorate with powdered sugar, rosemary sprigs, and red berries for a festive effect.
