It is a dish that adds cosiness and happiness to any dinner table with its flavourful and substantial meat sauce served over pasta that has been cooked to perfection. Great dishes, in our opinion at Sharp Blades, begin with precise instruments, and our knives are ideal for expertly preparing this dish. This is our recipe for a tasty, easy-to-make, and impressive spaghetti bolognese.

Directions
Get the vegetables ready:
Finely chop the garlic, celery, carrot, and onion with a sharp chef's knife. The faster and safer the preparation, the sharper the knife!

Prepare the fragrances:
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the celery, carrot, and onion. Sauté until softened, 5 to 7 minutes.
Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute more.

Put the ground beef in the pan to brown it. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it is browned and no pink is left.

Add the Herbs and Liquids:
Stir in the red wine (if using), tomato paste, and canned tomatoes. To cook out the alcohol, let the wine simmer for two minutes.
Add the bay leaf, dried basil, dried oregano, beef stock, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly.

Simmer the Sauce:
Turn the heat down to low, cover, and simmer the sauce for forty-five minutes, stirring now and then. Add a little water if the sauce becomes too thick.

Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil in order to cook the spaghetti. After adding the pasta, cook it as directed on the package until it is al dente. Make sure to drain thoroughly.

Remove the bay leaf from the sauce before combining and serving. Serve the sauce ladled over the pasta or toss the spaghetti with it.
If preferred, garnish with basil leaves and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
