Ultimate Club Sandwich Recipe

A timeless classic, the Club Sandwich consists of toasted bread packed with succulent chicken, crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and creamy mayo. This sandwich is popular and ideal for lunch, picnics, or a quick meal.  Cutting food is a breeze with the high-quality kitchen knives from Sharp Blades!

Ingredients (Serves 2)
3 slices of toasted bread (white or whole wheat)
4 slices of cooked chicken breast (or turkey)
4 strips of crispy bacon
2 leaves of fresh lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
2 slices of ripe tomato
2 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Toothpicks (to secure layers)

A sharp chef's knife is required for slicing meat and vegetables.
Toaster (or bread-toasting skillet)
Pan for frying (for bacon)
Bowl for mixing (mayo and mustard combination)
Cutting board (ideally one that doesn't slip)

Preparation Time:
15 minutes

Directions:
Cook the chicken and bacon:
Cook bacon in a frying pan until it's crispy.  Put aside.  Add salt and pepper to the chicken breast before grilling or pan-frying it until it's done.

Toast the Bread: 
Toast three pieces of bread lightly until golden.

Arrange the sandwich:
First layer: Cover one toasted slice with mayo.  Add the chicken, tomato, and lettuce.
Second layer: Put another toasted slice on top, cover with mayo, and then top with cheese and bacon.
Top layer: Place the final slice on top, mayo side down.

Secure & Cut: 
Use toothpicks to firmly press and secure.  Cut into four triangles on the diagonal to create the traditional Club Sandwich appearance.
